168 Hours

Hello everyone and welcome back to my page!

Ok, so lets talk about time.
Im going to assume im not the only one who struggles to find time to relax during the week? I get it life gets busy and school is a pain in the butt sometimes but did you know there is 168 hours in a week? crazy right!!

Im gonna talk a bit about how I balance my crazy life of school, work, my placement and of course going to the gym. I can tell you one thing for sure, I do not have a big social life while in school. Although this was very hard to accept at first I have come to realize that it helps me appreciate the free time I do get every week. Before going to bed every night I sit down and use a calendar to plan out what my day will look like. I look at the times I am in school and figure out when I have an hour or two to get to the gym. Most days I wake up early before class and make my way to the gym. If you are a person who struggles to find free time during the day I recommend waking up early. I used to sleep in and wake up an hour before school and rush to get ready. Not only did this add more stress to my life I always felt unprepared for my day. Although each day is different for me I manage to always have a few hours before bed to relax and do something that makes me happy. This can be watching a show or just simply just relaxing at home. Waking up early not only can be good for the mind but also helps me with time management. Instead of having around 10 hours to get everything done in the day I wake up around 6:30 head to the gym and still have the rest of my day to finish projects, put in time at my placement and still have free time to relax at night. Life is a balancing act no doubt, but its important to find a routine that works for you and stick to it.

Consistency will go a long way when balancing all that life throws at you. Remember to stay strong and find time to do what makes you happy!!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day

Fitting in

Welcome back to my blog! Today id like to talk about why fitting in is so important in the workplace. I absolutely love my job, we are all family to each other and I think that is the main reason I enjoy work. When searching for a job it is very important to know who you are and what type of environment you like to work in. For me, I love a fast pace and motivating work environment but that may not be for everyone. In my own experience work has always felt like a chore. I worked in many fast food places as well as serving for fine dining restaurants. Once I got the job at La Fitness I instantly started to enjoy going to work. This was when I finally realized what I wanted to do for my future career. It is important to find what drives you and makes you happy so that you can find the perfect job that works for you. For me, working in a gym is very positive and rewarding. Fitness and health is something that is very important to me and being able to have a career for my passion mak...
Welcome to my page!! As some of you may know my name is Brittney Levesque and I work at LA Fitness in the north end of Barrie. I was born in Brampton before we moved up north to Port Severn for my high school years and now I currently rent a place in Barrie . I am a 19 year old student enrolled in the Georgian College Fitness and Health program. I have a passion for the gym and living an active lifestyle. Also fun fact, I have a bunny named Snoop and he is a fully trained house bunny. To start off my post I'd like to explain my blog name because it is a pretty funny story. Ever since I started working at LA my co-workers have been trying to convince me to make a fitness instagram account. They all had a great laugh trying to figure out a "cool" name to call my account. The first name that came to their mind was LA Britness and it has been my new nick name in the workplace ever since. I am currently doing my placement at LA Fitness and I am loving it. When wo...
